Each week this term we will be learning about a new letter sound, and children will be asked to bring an object from home that begins with that sound – for example, a ball for ‘b’, a tiger for ‘t’, an orange for ‘o’ etc. The objects will be hung up for display on our “Sound of the Week” line in black and white room, to be taken home again at the end of the week.

Please remember that it is in most cases the sound at the beginning of the word, apart from ff, ll, ss (puff, bell and kiss) we are focusing on, rather than the letter name.

For example, this week we are learning about the sound ‘o’, you could bring in an orange.
