We are two ‘Outstanding’ federated maintained Nursery Schools with an Early Years SEN Resource Base, set in the heart of the vibrant, multi-cultural area of North Kensington. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development within a well-resourced, Early Year’s environment
We offer 70 full-time equivalent places across both schools, in addition to 20 places for children aged 2- 3. The schools are oversubscribed and popular with families in the local communities. Children attend either full time or part time and before and after school and holiday care are also offered.
We are looking for a flexible and energetic person to provide 1-1 supervision and learning support to a child with special educational needs. Experience of working with children aged 3-5yrs is essential and some experience of supporting children with complex needs would be an advantage.
Applicants will have some knowledge of child development and how children learn, and will be able to contribute to planning for the next steps in learning.
You will be working as part of a team of Early Years Educators. You will be committed to providing high quality play and learning opportunities and working in partnership with parents. Positive and enthusiastic, you will thrive within an environment of excellence.
You will be qualified to level 2 in Childcare and Development (or equivalent) or be an unqualified childcare worker who has an interest in developing a career in this field.
We are committed to the continuing professional development of our staff and all positions offer a real opportunity for development.
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Disclosure and Barring Enhanced Disclosure, as well as suitable references, will be undertaken on successful applicants before an appointment is confirmed.
Visits are by appointment.
